XML interfaces set to revolutionise MR data processing ( 31/01/05 )

MRDC has announced a number of developments which will mean that all of its products will be linked using XML. It will mean all inputs, controls and outputs for a project will be simultaneously stored in either an Access or SQL Server database.

The XML interfaces are built around the already highly-acclaimed Triple-S XML standard ( www.triple-s.org ) for project metadata and TabsML for tabular output. The Triple-S standard is being extended (to be known as TSXE) to accommodate many of the more advanced features within our products as well as allowing customisation so that controls for other types of products, such as CATI products, can be stored within TSXE.

Additionally OnTraq and Report Direct will have their project specifications stored in XML, so that they can be easily driven by other systems.
